Michigan, Michigan Tech Advance to GLI Championship
DETROIT – Monday kicked off the beginning of the 55th annual Great Lakes Invitational, where Ferris State, Michigan, Michigan State and Michigan Tech took over Little Caesars Arena.
In the first game of the day, Michigan State fell to Michigan Tech 4-2.
In game two, Ferris State took on the Michigan Wolverines.
Michigan got on the board first with goals in all three periods. Ferris State did try to make a come back with a goal by Sault Ste. Marie native Brendan Maclaren, with an assist from Marshall Moise.
The Bulldogs fell to the Wolverines 4-1.
The Spartans and Bulldogs will play at 11:30 am for third place on Tuesday, while the Huskies and Wolverines advance to the championship at 2:30 pm.
