Effective immediately, the ballpark has the new name.
With both being hot-spots in the area for tourists and community members alike, creating the relationship between the ballpark and the casino was a “no-brainer”.
“Especially with them winning this year,” said CEO of Grand Traverse Resorts and Casinos, Michael Schrader. “It looks like we’re jumping on the bandwagon, but after meeting all these guys they’re great, great guys great people a great organization it just seemed like a no-brainer.”
The partnership looks to bring more to the community, and could bring the possibility of more events with the joining of the to venue/entertainment properties.
“I don’t want to let too many things out of the bag, but we’ve had some discussions and we want to think outside the box and bring something new to the community,” added Schrader.
The Pit Spitters have their home opener on May 28, 2020. You can find their full 2020 schedule here.
