Hess’ 33 Points Boost Mio Over Hillman

MIO – Mio won its eighth straight game with a 63-34 victory over Hillman on Tuesday at home, with Drew Hess leading the Thunderbolts with 33 points.

Mio held just an 11-10 lead after one quarter, but outscored the Tigers by 28 points in the final three quarters. Robert Neighbors contributed 12 points and Brendan DeFlorio had eight points, eight rebounds and four steals for the Thunderbolts.

With the win, Mio improves to 9-1 this season. Hillman drops its fifth straight game and now holds a 3-7 record.

Mio will play Oscoda on Friday at home at 7:30 p.m., while Hillman will take on Hale on the road on Friday at 7:15 p.m.
