LaFleur’s Humbled By Support For Son in Super Bowl

MOUNT PLEASANT – The stage is set for Super Bowl LIV and there are many ties to northern Michigan.

One of those connections being Mike LaFleur, a Mount Pleasant Native and San Franscisco 49ers passing game coordinator.

He’s the son of long-time Oiler head coach and CMU alum Denny LaFleur and his wife Krisit, also a former coach at Mount Pleasant.

Both are so excited to see him coach in the big game.

“We’ll all be supporting him, and I know Matt and the family will be supporting, and their family, and all that, but hopefully we can come back with a win,” said Denny.

“It’s just been, again, humbling to see the support that the boys have received from this community,” added Krisit. “It’s been mind-boggling. It’s been really awesome.”

They plan to fly down to Miami on Thursday and be in attendance for the game on Sunday. The Super Bowl kicks off 6:30 pm on Local 32.
