KALAMAZOO — Appearing in its first quarterfinal in 30 years, Hart jumped out to a quick lead, but Manchester cruised from there for the 43-18 victory in the Division 4 quarterfinal.
The fourth-seeded Pirates led 12-6 at one point, but Manchester, holding the No. 5 seed in the tournament, turned it on to advance.
Hart finishes its historic postseason run with a 33-4 record. Manchester advances to face No. 1 seed Hudson in the state semifinals on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo.
