Ryan Newman In Serious, But Stable Condition After Daytona 500 Crash

DAYTONA BEACH – The end of this year’s Daytona 500 brought a serious crash by Roush Fenway Racing driver, Ryan Newman.

He was taken to the hospital after the race to be treated for his injuries.

In a statement released on Monday night, he is in “serious condition, but doctors have indicated his injuries are not life threatening.”

 

Newman is a 42-year-old driver out of South Bend, Indiana.

Denny Hamlin won this year’s Daytona 500, making this his third time winning the Great American Race.
