Sault Ste. Marie Stifles D4 No. 2 St. Ignace, Extends Win Streak to 9 Straight

SAULT STE. MARIE – The Sault Ste. Marie girls basketball team extended its win streak to nine straight with a 43-29 win over Division 4 No. 2 St. Ignace in Straits Area Conference play on Thursday.

The Blue Devils (13-1, 4-1) took a 5-2 lead to the second quarter and extended their lead to 24-15 at the half.

St. Ignace (11-2, 4-1) visits Kingsley Saturday afternoon while Sault Ste. Marie welcomes in Gaylord on Tuesday.
