Sault Ste. Marie’s D’Autremont Signs with Michigan Tech

SAULT STE. MARIE – Sault Ste. Marie senior student-athlete Nick D’Autremont signed his National Letter of Intent with Michigan Tech and its football program on Friday.

A four-year starter on Sault Ste. Marie’s offensive and defensive lines, D’Autremont, a preferred walk-on, expects to play center for the Huskies.

“I had my one visit to Tech and I fell in love with it. So I didn’t need to go on any others,” D’Autremont said. “It’s in the U.P. I’ve got lots of friends going there. It’s just a town I love. Education wise, it’s one of the best mechanical engineering programs in the state and being in the U.P. it was hard not to pick them.”

D’Autremont recorded 74 career tackles during his prep career with three sacks and two pass deflections.

He plans to study mechanical engineering.
