Ogemaw Heights Grad Zettel Signs with Minnesota Vikings

Ogemaw Heights graduate and defensive end Anthony Zettel signed with the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday.

A sixth-round selection out of Penn State in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Lions, Zettel appeared in 15 games for Cleveland in 2018, tallying 14 tackles. After being waived by Cleveland prior to the start of the 2019 season, Zettel spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals and was on the Super Bowl roster of the San Francisco 49ers.

Zettel has played in 49 regular-season games over four years, recording 76 combined tackles and 7.5 sacks.

Zettel earned First-Team All-Big Ten honors in 2014 as a junior and was a former Associated Press all-state selection at Ogemaw Heights.
