Sault’s Hoffman Heading to NMU

SAULT STE. MARIE – Another northern Michigan high school football player has signed off on their future.

Sault Ste. Marie’s Thalen Hoffman will be heading to Northern Michigan University to play football.

He was a center and defensive end for the Blue Devils, and will be on the offensive line for the Wildcats.

Although he may be going to play football, the education aspect was very important to Hoffman.

“So I toured the entire nursing program which is what I wanted to do and I really liked what they had going there, checked out the honors college which I enjoyed. Education first. But it’ll be just a lot of hard work and I’ll keep grinding because I know I’ll be undersized for you know the division but I’ll make up for it in size and strength, quickness, I’ll just put in the work I need to put in,” said Hoffman.

He plans to major in nursing.
