Traverse City Central Tops Traverse City West in District Semis

TRAVERSE CITY – The Traverse City Central boys basketball team secured a spot in a Division 1 district final with a 47-37 win over rival Traverse City West on Wednesday.

The Trojans (19-3) led 12-10 after the opening quarter en route to their 16th straight win.

With the loss West ends its season at 8-13.

Central will now host Marquette for the district championship at 6 p.m. Friday. Marquette (19-3) rallied for a 60-57 win over Gaylord on Wednesday.
