Traverse City Francis Tops Petoskey, Moves to 17-3

TRAVERSE CITY – The Traverse City St. Francis boys basketball team closed out its regular season with a 64-54 win over Petoskey on Thursday.

The Gladiators held a 16-6 lead after the first quarter and extended their lead to 37-19 at the half.

Pat Mackey led the Gladiators (17-3) with 17 points while Brendan Chouinard and Aidan Bramer tallied 13 points apiece.

Petoskey (12-8) opens Division 1 district play at Marquette at 6 p.m. Monday while St. Francis takes on Elk Rapids in a Division 3 district semifinal at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mancelona.
