Bellaire Mourns Loss of Football Coach Brock Robinson

BELLAIRE — The Bellaire community mourns the loss of varsity football coach Brock Robinson, who passed away unexpectedly late Friday night. He was 55 years old. The cause of death is unknown.

Robinson played a major role with the Bellaire football program for more than two decades and became the head coach of the program in 2013. The Eagles went 31-35 with Robinson as its head coach.

He was also the head chef at Bellaire High School until this past year when he left for another job. His death came as a shock to everyone he knew.

“The man just had the biggest heart. He didn’t care who you were. Everyone was an equal. He saw the good in everybody and he was just passionate,” Bellaire athletic director Brad Fischer said. “He didn’t care who you were the starting quarterback or maybe one of the guys that kind of got in during mop up time. He just made sure the starting quarterback and the quote unquote mop guys felt the same.”

Robinson is survived by his wife and three children. You can help donate to the family’s expenses and the funeral at this link: https://www.facebook.com/donate/289202602066184/10222885397513403/.
