Elk Rapids Alum Adam Trautman Drafted by New Orleans Saints

Elk Rapids High School graduate and University of Dayton senior tight end Adam Trautman was selected by the New Orleans Saints with the 105th overall pick in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft Friday evening.

Recruited as a quarterback, Trautman transitioned to tight end and went on to earn all-Pioneer Football League honors in his sophomore, junior and senior campaigns. As a senior Trautman was named the PFL Offensive Player of the Year and played in the 2020 Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Trautman concluded a record-setting Dayton career with 171 receptions for 2,295 yards and 31 touchdowns.
