Cutter Gets Another Coaching Opportunity with Great Lakes Resorters

As two doors closed for Steve Cutter and his baseball coaching career this summer, another opened in the form of the Great Lakes Resorters.

The general manager and pitching coaching for the Muskegon Clippers of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate Baseball League and varsity baseball coach at North Muskegon High School, Cutter was faced with not one but two canceled seasons because of the coronavirus pandemic. Resorters Manager Sot

Now Cutter is getting another opportunity this summer as the manager of the newly created Great Lakes Resorters of the Northwoods League.

Cutter hasn’t had any problems filling out his roster.

“We’re in such a unique situation we had players that we signed that said they would hitchhike to Traverse City just to play,” Cutter said. “We’re all staying together at the Interlochen Fine Arts Camp, which is a very unique experience as well. I think everybody is just so thankful for the opportunities that are here. It’s really an amazing experience so far.”

The Resorters open their season against the Traverse City Pit Spitters at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday at Turtle Creek Stadium.
