YPSILANTI — Cheboygan’s PJ Maybank III and Traverse City’s Griffin Mawson won their respective divisions in the 2nd GAM Junior Kickoff Championships on Tuesday.
Maybank III won the Boys Division by six strokes, recording a 141 (-3) through two rounds. Mawson was the top golfer in the Boys 15 & Under Division, with a 149 (+5) through two rounds.
Aerial Chang of Macomb Township won the girls field, while Lauren Timpf of Macomb won the 15-and-under girls field.
A total of 153 golfers competed in the tournament at Washtenaw Golf Club. It’s the first tournament of the season. Check out the full results at this link: .
