Senior Spotlight: Boyne City’s Moody Heads to Menlo College

MISportsNow is putting the spotlight on northern Michigan high school senior student-athletes who had their seasons cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Img 6218Boyne City senior Harry Moody is set to continue this golf career at the collegiate level at Menlo (Calif.) College in the fall.

A state finals qualifier as a junior, Moody says Menlo appealed to him because of its location in California and the opportunity it afforded him to compete throughout the entire year.

“I really started to get into golf when I was probably 12 or so when I started coming up here to Boyne City in the summer time and starting to practice a lot,” Moody said. “I played tournaments in Traverse City all the time. I kind of got hooked onto competitive golf. And I’ve wanted to play college ever since then.”
