Implosion of the Palace, former home of Detroit Pistons
The former home of the Detroit Pistons is no more.
The Palace of Auburn Hills was demolished Saturday morning.
Crews imploded what was left the building, which was steel framing and concert walls. In December, crews began taking down lettering on the outside of the building.
The Palace was home to the Pistons and different events and concerts from 1988 to 2017.
There are plans to turn the space into offices for research and technology.
