Senior Spotlight: Duddles Ready to Play Basketball at Mid Michigan

MISportsNow is putting the spotlight on northern Michigan high school senior student-athletes who had their seasons cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.

REED CITY — Alison Duddles is ready to play basketball again at the college level. The Reed City senior committed to join one of the top junior college women’s basketball programs, Mid Michigan, next year.

Duddles also said Mid Michigan allows her to pursue her degree in the medical field, as she plans to study nursing.

“Once I got into my senior year, I didn’t know if I wanted to play because I wanted to focus on school,” Duddles said. “But then I thought well I could go to Mid Michigan, it’s a smaller school, still be able to play and work on my schooling at the same time, so I thought it would be a good idea to apply there.

“I’m really excited, I’m excited to play with new people and I’m excited to get back in the gym, shoot around and start working out more again and building chemistry with the team.”
