Beaverton Looks to Build off Historic 2019 Season

BEAVERTON – After recording its best season in program history a year ago, the Beaverton football team opened its 2020 preseason camp this week.

The Beavers are coming off a 2019 season that saw them go 10-1 and win the Jack Pine Conference championship in outright fashion.

Beaverton has won consecutive league titles and playoff games over the last two years and is continuing to set the bar high.

“My goal is to make sure that our program, year in and year out, competes at a very high level,” Beaverton coach Aaron Seiser said. “I think we can do that, then things tend to take care of themselves.”

The Beavers are tasked with replacing a talented senior class that went 32-10 over four years and won a pair of JPC titles and playoff games.

“We lost a lot of good players,” Beaverton senior Trent Reed said. “We got some good kids coming up, so hopefully they’ll fill some positions. We just got to come out and play. We’re a good team and we know what we can do.”

Beaverton opens its season at Breckenridge on Thursday, Aug. 27. The Beavers won last year’s meeting 16-6.
