Manistee Saints Win COVID-19 World Series in Grand Rapids
GRAND RAPIDS – The Manistee Saints were crowned the COVID-19 World Series Champions due to their 3-0 record, after the final game was canceled due to heavy rain in Grand Rapids on Sunday.
The Saints were the only team to remain unbeaten in the tournament.
After an 8-7 extra innings win against the Flint Legends on Saturday, the Saints advanced to the final game.
The semi-pro team from Manistee recorded wins over the Flint Legends (8-7), the Grand Rapids Brewers (3-1) and the Berea Blue Sox (9-4) to win the tournament title.
