CADILLAC – The Cadillac volleyball program is off to another strong start this fall.
After falling to eventual Division 2 state semifinalist Kingsley in a regional final last year, Cadillac has rolled out to a 20-3 start and is atop the Big North Conference standings at 2-0.
The Vikings are a relatively young team this year, with only three seniors and six juniors and sophomores combined.
Cadillac hosted a pair of quad meets this past weekend, going 5-1.
“We have to be ready just like we do every year,” Cadillac coach Michelle Brines said. “Us scheduling hard people on the home quads, there’s a reason for that. I think, if we’re able to play the whole entire season and we continue to mature and grow, I think we can be pretty successful down the stretch.”
“We’re a really young team, so I think we have to continue getting better every practice, keep working hard every practice,” added Cadillac senior Macy Brown. “We’ve been getting a lot better and every day I think we get better.”
Cadillac returns to the court Wednesday at Traverse City Central.
