Ludington, Fremont to Meet Friday in Rescheduled Game
As Week 2 of the high school football season kicks off Friday, Ludington will now host Fremont in a rescheduled non-conference matchup.
The two teams were originally slated to meet on Friday, Aug. 28, before the opening three weeks of Michigan’s 2020 high school football season were canceled.
Ludington was scheduled to host Michigan Center at Brookwood Athletic Complex in Clare Friday, but a positive COVID-19 test by a Michigan Center School District staff member has resulted in the district shutting down in-person instruction and extracurricular activities until Friday, Oct. 9.
Fremont also had its originally scheduled Week 2 game canceled after positives tests within the Grant Public Schools community forced the district to cancel all extracurricular events for Friday and Saturday.
Prior to scheduling Michigan Center, Ludington was originally scheduled to face Lakes 8 Conference opponent Muskegon Heights. Muskegon Heights announced last week that it is postponing all fall sports until spring amid COVID-19 concerns.
Friday’s game in Ludington is set for 7 p.m.
