TRAVERSE CITY – Traverse City Central cruised to a 53-13 victory over crosstown rival Traverse City West in the Celebrate Service Game at Thirlby Field Friday.
The Trojans (1-0, 1-0) carried a 14-0 lead to the second quarter and pulled away in the second quarter for a 47-0 lead at the half en route to the biggest win by either in the series that dates back to 1997.
Central welcomes in Petoskey next Friday while West (0-1, 0-1) travels to Alpena next Saturday.
