BELLAIRE – Bellaire senior first baseman Mackenzie Hoogerhyde will continue her athletic and academic careers at Mid Michigan College next year.
Hoogerhyde is a three-sport athlete at Bellaire and competes on a travel softball team.
An all-Ski Valley Conference honoree, Hoggerhyde says she’s long had her sights set on playing college softball. She joins a Mid Michigan program that will begin its third season of competition in the spring.
“I’ve always been kind of set on playing college softball. It really was a dream of mine and then freshman year when I went to their camp it really hit me that I wanted to really play,” Hoggerhyde said. “I’m looking forward to being able to get to know the girls and playing with them and being able to experience that type of level of college ball. Being able to play with girls that are looking and wanting to play just as much as I do.”
Hoggerhyde looks forward to completing her prep career next spring.”
