Johannesburg-Lewiston Edges Beal City for First District Title Since 2012

JOHANNESBURG – Johannesburg-Lewiston won its first Division 8 district title since 2012 with a 28-21 win over Beal City on Friday.

The Cardinals (9-0) led 6-0 after the first quarter and 13-7 at the half.

With the loss, Beal City ends its season at 7-2.

Johannesburg-Lewiston will now travel to Iron Mountain (8-1) for a regional final next week. Iron Mountain handed Bark River-Harris a 36-16 loss on Friday.
