Lions Fire Matt Patricia, Bob Quinn

DETROIT – Saturday afternoon, the Detroit Lions announced they have relieved head coach Matt Patricia and general manager Bob Quinn of their duties.

This comes amid a 4-7 losing season, days after a disastrous loss to the Houston Texans and their first shutout loss in 11 seasons this past Sunday.

Quinn came to Detroit in 2016 from the New England Patriots and two years later brought fellow Patriot, Matt Patricia to the Lions.

The Lions went 13-29-1 under Quinn and Patricia and are in the middle of their third-straight losing season.

Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell has been appointed as the interim head coach.
