After a successful four-year varsity career, Ludington senior tight end Jake Plamondon will take his talents to Ferris State next fall.

A 2020 Lakes 8 Conference first team all-conference and Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Division 4 All-Region Team honoree, Plamondon led the Orioles to their third straight postseason appearance and first-ever playoff win with an 18-15 victory over Bay City John Glenn this year.

Plamondon is excited to continue this career at the collegiate level with a successful Ferris State program.

“I got to watch practice and it was such a great atmosphere, I mean, the energy it was great energy, always competing. I just loved every minute of it, Plamondon said. “That’s kind of when I made my decision of like I think this is where I want to go. When I finally decided that I was going to Ferris I was very relieved and I was very happy, it took a lot of stress off my shoulders and I’m ready to be a Bulldog.”

Plamondon plans to study welding engineering technology.
