Suttons Bay Holds off St. Mary for Regional Title

SUTTONS BAY – Suttons Bay won its second straight regional championship with a 38-22 win over Gaylord St. Mary on Friday.

The two teams were tied at 22-22 at the half with the Norsemen (9-0) pulling ahead 38-22 after three quarters.

With the loss, St. Mary ends its year at 7-2.

Suttons Bay will take on Inland Lakes in an 8-player Division 1 state semifinal next week. Inland Lakes (8-1) earned a forfeit win over Pickford on Friday.
