TRAVERSE CITY – Traverse City Central senior Samantha Thoma is set to continue to academic and athletic endeavors at Michigan State and with its rowing program next fall.
As team captain of the Traverse City Tritons rowing club, Thoma leads the club on the water during a regatta.
Thomas is excited to join a college rowing program.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting all new people, I love it,” Thoma said. “Going to regattas and just finding a bunch of people that share the same interests of you know and Michigan State is a new team but full of people from all of the world who share the same interests that I do in this sport. Ever since freshman year it was definitely something I wanted to pursue in college.
Thoma is hopeful that her final prep season will take place in the spring.
