Boyne City’s Hauger Commits to Minnesota-Crookston

BOYNE CITY – Another standout athlete from northern Michigan is taking their talents to the next level.

Boyne City’s Inanna Hauger has committed to play soccer at University of Minnesota-Crookston.

Hauger has been a top performer for the Ramblers girls soccer team, and she also has been ranked in her division in snocross.

She said Minnesota-Crookston was the perfect fit for her because it gives her the opportunity to race and play soccer.

“I was like wow this is where I need to go,” said Hauger. “I really liked the area and the town. The coach was very nice and I got to hang out with some of the freshmen. Everyone was super nice and super welcoming. Just the fact that it was in Minnesota, division 2 is always what I wanted to play honestly and I’d be able to keep racing.”

Hauger said she looked at about 15 other schools, but Crookston was the best fit for her.
