LSSU Men Fall to Michigan Tech in 2nd Straight Loss

Nigel Colvin scored 16 points off the bench as the Lake Superior State men’s basketball team dropped its second straight contest in a 79-74 loss to Michigan Tech in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at the James Norris Center Friday afternoon.

The Lakers (2-3, 2-3) trailed 40-37 at the half.

Kemon Bassett, David Wren and Malek Adams tallied 13 points apiece in the loss for LSSU.

Owen White led the Huskies (4-1, 4-1) with a game-high 10 points and seven rebounds. Beaverton grad Carter Johnston chipped in eight points and seven assists in the win.

The two teams square off again at 1 p.m. Saturday.
