LSSU Takes Bemidji To Shootout, Ends in Tie

SAULT STE MARIE – After a month-long break, Lake Superior State hockey was back in action over the weekend.

They hosted Bemidji State for a two game series.

The Beavers won the first game on Saturday 4-1.

On Sunday, it was another tough battle for the Lakers.

After the first period, Bemidji lead by one and after two, they lead by two.

In the final period, Lake State rallied back tying the game 2-2, with goals from Will Riedell and Ashton Calder.

They took it to overtime, and then to a shootout. The game officially ended with a tie, 2-2.

LSSU returns to the ice next weekend for another two game series against Northern Michigan. Friday’s game is at 7:07 pm and Saturday’s game is at 6:07 pm.
