TC West’s Boivin Signs with Michigan as Preferred Walk-on

TRAVERSE CITY — Traverse City West senior Christian Boivin achieved a dream of his by committing to play football at Michigan next year as a preferred walk-on.

Boivin had plenty of success with the Titans, as he earned multiple All-State honors including this past season by the AP and MHSFCA. He looks to compete for a spot as a strong safety along with playing on special teams for the Wolverines. And for him, this decision was a no-brainer.

“My first thought there was that it’s gonna be hard to say no to the University of Michigan. I mean, the academics, the athletics are as good as they come and I mean, it was exactly what I was looking for,” Boivin said. “It’s definitely a dream come true and I’m gonna be going to a university that’s prestigious at such a giant level that it can help me springboard to be the best person I can be.”

Boivin plans on studying biomedical engineering at Michigan.
