Glen Lake’s Hogan, Pugh Sign Letters of Intent
MAPLE CITY — Glen Lake seniors Finn Hogan and Wyatt Pugh signed their letters of intent on Wednesday to compete at the college level in their respective sports. Hogan will play football at Central Michigan, while Pugh will run cross country at Adrian College.
Hogan was a two-time all-state honoree and also earned all-conference and all-region honors twice as well. He helped the Lakers earn a trip to the state championship in 2019. He is thankful for his experience at Glen Lake and is looking forward to next fall.
“I love Glen Lake. There’s absolutely nowhere else I’d rather grow up,” Hogan said. “I think the getting out of here and just going to that more of that big-school atmosphere and big-town atmosphere will be super cool for me because I’ve never really experienced that. So I think that’s the biggest thing I’m looking forward to is just being able to go walk around and meet that new person every day and be in that big school atmosphere.”
Pugh was a two-time state qualifier and all-conference honoree in cross country for the Lakers. He is excited to continue running at the college level.
“I love competition. I love competing. That’s my favorite part about cross just getting in the races, being in that moment, it’s like no other,” Pugh said. “It’s just a great feeling and I’m really looking forward to that. The campus is really nice, the coach there is really nice as well and it just seemed like a great fit for me there.”
