Harrison’s House Family Ready to Watch Son Coach in Super Bowl

HARRISON — For the second straight year, Matt House will coach in the Super Bowl. The Harrison alum is currently in his second season with the Chiefs as their linebackers coach.

Last year, the Chiefs won the Super Bowl over the 49ers, 31-20, and House hopes to earn his second Super Bowl ring this year against the Buccaneers.

His parents, Tom and Cathy, still live in Harrison and they are excited to watch their son coach again on the biggest stage.

“When they won, I told my son, ‘Next year we’ll be there.’ Obviously that’s not going to happen but even his family is going to fly in and fly out the same day. So it’s going to be a very different Super Bowl for everybody but still very exciting,” Cathy House said.

“This year it will be a little more subdued, but we’ll be cheering just as loud and yelling at the TV, I’m sure,” Tom House said.

The Super Bowl is on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. on CBS.
