Beaverton’s Johnston Gets 800th Win in District Title Game
BEAVERTON – On Saturday night, Beaverton and Pinconning faced off for the district crown in Division 3.
After the first, Pinnconning lead 14-13, but Beaverton took the lead and kept it until the end.
The Beavers win their first district title since 2017, winning 74-52.
This win marked head coach Roy Johnston’s 800th career win.
“It’s a big milestone and you couldn’t ask for a better group of guys really, great students great people,” said Johnston.
“It’s just amazing. This is so cool to be apart of and just I think he’ll go into the hall of fame and that will be an even cooler day too,” added senior Cameron Mishler.
The Beavers move on to the regional semifinals were they will face Mason County Central.
