CMU’s Kelly Enters WNBA Draft

MT. PLEASANT — Central Michigan guard Micaela Kelly announced on Twitter on that she will forgo her extra year of eligibility and enter the WNBA Draft.


Kelly will leave the Chippewas as one of the top scorers in program history. She finished second all-time for the Chippewas with 2,173 career points. She surpassed six former Chippewas on the list this past season and only trails former teammate Presley Hudson.

This past season, Kelly averaged 23.9 points per game, passing her previous career-high of 21.5 ppg last year.

She was also the 2020 MAC Player of the Year, and also earned a pair of MAC All-Defensive and All-MAC First Team honors in her career.
