Boyne City off to Strong Start in 2021

BOYNE CITY – The Boyne City girls soccer team is off to another strong start this spring, looking to build of its 2019 state semifinal appearance.

The Ramblers have won four of their first five games, including three straight by a combined 19-0.

This year’s Boyne City squad features a good mix of veterans and talented underclassmen.

“Everybody puts in as much effort as they can, like everybody is working hard often, even in practice and stuff,” Boyne City senior Jordan Noble said. “We want make it to states, we want win this year, and that’s definitely coming into play and it’s starting to click, it’s all working out.”

“They have the potential to go far,” added Boyne City coach Ed Fantozzi. “They’re a senior-laden team with some decent youth talent. So, they have a really good ability and chance to take this to states.”

Boyne City is back on the pitch Thursday, hosting Tawas at 5 p.m.
