CMU Baseball Shuts Out Kent State in Series Opener

MT. PLEASANT – After coming off an 8-4 loss to No. 10 Notre Dame, Central Michigan completed a 7-inning shutout against Kent State winning 10-0 in the series opener Friday.

The Chippewas were led by right fielder Jakob Marsee who hit a three-run homer in the 4th.

Jordan Patty pitched all 7 innings and recorded 11 total strikeouts on the day.

CMU improves to 18-10 and plays Kent State in a doubleheader at Theunissen Stadium Saturday.
