CMU Football to Play Michigan in 2025

MT. PLEASANT – The Central Michigan football team has added the University of Michigan to its 2025 non-conference schedule.

The game will be played in Ann Arbor on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, and will be the fifth meeting between the two schools.

“This is another great opportunity for our student-athletes to compete on a national stage at one of college football’s top venues in the heart of our alumni footprint with over 160,000 alums in the surrounding area,” said CMU Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics Amy Folan in a statement.

The CMU/Michigan series began in 1931 and included games in 2003, 2006 and 2013. Michigan won the 2013 meeting 59-9.

The Chippewas went 3-3 during their abbreviated 2020 campaign.

CMU opens its 2021 season at Missouri on Sept. 4.
