Frankfort Tops LLSM for Second Straight Regional Championship
BUCKLEY – The Frankfort boys basketball team claimed its second straight Division 4 regional championship with a 50-41 win over Lake Leelanau St. Mary Thursday.
The Panthers (17-5) led 27-18 at the half.
With the loss, St. Mary concludes its season at 14-5.
Frankfort will take on Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart (19-1) in a state quarterfinal at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Houghton Lake. Sacred Heart downed Saginaw Nouvel 59-51 Thursday.
