Rudyard Rolls Past Carney-Nadeau, Reaches First Semifinal Game Since 1963

SAULT STE. MARIE – The Rudyard boys basketball team is returning to the state semifinals for the first time since 1963 after posting a 76-48 win over Carney-Nadeau in a Division 4 quarterfinal Tuesday.

The Bulldogs (18-2) led 28-20 at the half and took a commanding 54-35 lead to the fourth quarter.

With the loss, Carney-Nadeau wraps up its campaign at 13-9.

Rudyard will take on No. 6 Wyoming Tri-unity Christian (13-2) in a state semifinal at 10 a.m. Thursday at Van Andel Arena. Tri-unity recorded a 56-44 win over Webberville in a quarterfinal Tuesday.
