Boyne City Wins Key Conference Game Over Elk Rapids

ELK RAPIDS — Boyne City put together an impressive 7-0 victory over Elk Rapids on Monday in girls soccer, as the two teams along with Charlevoix are now tied at the top of the Lake Michigan Conference standings with one loss each.

The Ramblers, (8-1, 5-1 Lake Michigan) jumped out to a 5-0 lead after one half, led by Jordan and Taylor Noble scoring all five goals. Taylor Noble ended with four goals total, while Jordan had two. Reagan Woodhall added another goal for the Ramblers.

Both teams entered Monday’s matchup on six-game win streaks. Elk Rapids (8-2, 6-1 Lake Michigan) beat Boyne City, 2-1, earlier this season.

The Elks will play at Traverse City St. Francis next Monday at 5 p.m. Boyne City will host Grayling on Thursday at 5 p.m.
