Cheboygan’s Nightingale Named Asst. Coach for Team USA

Cheboygan’s Adam Nightingale will be an assistant coach of the 2021 USA Men’s National Hockey Team. USA Hockey made the announcement on Monday, along with naming Jack Capuano the head coach. They will coach the team in the upcoming International Ice hockey Federation Men’s World Championship.

Nightingale completed his first season as the head coach of the USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program. This will be his first time as an assistant coach for the USA Men’s National Team, but it won’t be his first time as an assistant. He was also on the coaching staff for the Detroit Red Wings and Buffalo Sabres, on top of being the video coach for four previous USA teams.

The tournament will run from May 21-June 6 in Riga, Latvia.
