Pit Spitters Win on a Walk-Off in Opening Day Extra Innings Thriller
TRAVERSE CITY — Summer baseball returned to the Cherry Capital for its third season, with the Traverse City Pit Spitters recording a 3-2 comeback win over the Kokomo Jackrabbits in an extra innings thriller in their 2021 Opening Day Northwoods League matchup on Monday.

The Jackrabbits took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning and The Pit Spitters were hitless until the 4th inning when Jake Arnold knocked in the first run on the RBI single.
Aidan Brewer tied things up himself in the 9th with an inside the park homerun.
Then in extra innings, Michael Stygles comes up with the game winning hit in the 10th inning, knocking in the run to lift the Pit Spitters to their first win of the season.
The Pit Spitters take on the Jackrabbits for game two tomorrow.
