SAULT STE. MARIE — Sault Ste. Marie senior Daylan Lujan recently made his decision to play football at St. Norbert College next year official after having a great senior season for the Blue Devils where he earned second team all-state honors.
Lujan came to Sault Ste. Marie as a sophomore after living in Alaska. He had played football when he was younger, but didn’t have a chance to play in Alaska without a football team at his school.
He said St. Norbert had the small-town feeling he desired for his next destination.
“It was a good fit for me. Not too big. Not like a city. I definitely could not do the city. I like the smaller towns. Always lived in the smaller town. The scenery there was beautiful and I found a perfect fit for me there,” Lujan said.
He also earned all-conference honors as a player for the Sault Ste. Marie football team.
