T.C. St. Francis Cruises to Regional Semis in Lacrosse
TRAVERSE CITY — Traverse City St. Francis held a 16-1 lead at halftime against Holland Christian on Friday and cruised to the 20-2 win to advance to the Div. 2 regional semifinals in lacrosse.
“It was a great feeling,” St. Francis head coach Ryan McGee said. “I mean senior’s last day of school for those guys to come out here and COVID restrictions were lifted a little bit so we had student section, we had some fans in the stands. So, it was a good way to send those guys out on Thirlby nonetheless.”
The Gladiators were led by Kobe Kolarevic’s seven goals in the game.
“We always focus on coming out hot in practice,” Kolarevic said. “Always high intensity in practice, so we try to carry that into the games too. Just proud of the team and ready to move on to next week.”
St. Francis will face Jenison in the next round on Thursday at Spring Lake at 5 p.m.
