Chippewa Hills’ Whipple Commits to Alma Football

REMUS — Chippewa Hills senior Carl Whipple will continue playing football at Alma College next season.

Whipple played varsity football for three years and earned All-CSAA honors during those three seasons. He also wrestled and played baseball for the Warriors.

He said he considered wrestling in college, but wanted to pursue football at Alma.

“It’s kind of close to home. They kind of like stuck with me since the beginning. They hit me up at the end of my sophomore year. I enjoyed the campus, the people I met there,” Whipple said. “The coaching staff was incredible. I’m actually pretty close with the coach that recruited me.”

He also earned all-state honors this past season as a defensive lineman and was all-region for his play on the offensive line.
