Mt. Pleasant’s Josh Schell to Play in MHSBCA All-Star Game at Comerica Park

MT. PLEASANT – Former Mt. Pleasant pitcher Josh Schell will play in the MHSBCA All-Star Game on Monday at Comerica Park.

Schell said he grew up a Tigers fan is grateful for the unique opportunity to play on the Tigers’ home field.

He was nominated for the game by his head coach Luke Epple.

Schell said he’s looking forward to the chance to compete one last time at the high school level and see how he measures up against elite competition.

“I wouldn’t say I’m really nervous going into it. [I’m] just really going out there and testing myself, seeing how I match up against some of the best players in the state of Michigan,” Schell said. “Like competition-wise, these are the best kids I will have played all year probably. And [I’m excited] just to really push myself and see what I can do up there against them.”

Schell is signed to play both football and baseball at West Point next year.
